Research for rare diseases and personalized medicine
In the thematic DAAD network "Research for Rare Diseases and Personalized Medicine" we want from Dr. from the Hauner Children's Hospital try to set new accents in the training of doctors and scientists in international dialogue with our partner institutes in Bangkok, Isfahan, Tel Aviv, Kayseri, Boston, Toronto and Vienna. The strategic goal of this project is on the one hand to elucidate the genetic basis and pathophysiology of rare diseases of the immune system and to develop personalized therapy options, on the other hand we want to use the expertise of our partners to bring about "new thinking" in medicine. By promoting mobility and young scientists, we want to help patients with rare diseases to emerge from the shadowy existence of the "orphans of medicine" and become the avant-garde of a new era of individualized medicine.
