BMBF-Network RESPONSE: Adaptation and clinical use of existing robotic systems to relieve caregivers from non-occupational activities

  • Coordinator: Dr. Uli Fischer
  • Affiliation:Department of nursing
  • Funding by BMBF: 2020 to 2023

Overall purpose of the project:
The use of already existing digital and robotic systems will be investigated in clinical everyday life to what extent these systems can relieve the nursing staff. These systems are autonomously taking over simple non-nursing activities or delegate digitally certain activities. Therefore, inhibiting and promoting factors, the behaviour and experience of patients and nurses, as well as the experienced workload reduction of nurses will be investigated using various research methods. The focus is on the first clinical application of these new technologies and their adaptation to the requirements of a maximum care hospital.
