BMBF-Network MOBISTAR: Mobilization of people in need of intensive care through a new standard in adaptive robotics

  • Coordinator: Dr. Uli Fischer
  • Affiliation:Department of nursing
  • Funding by BMBF: 2020 to 2023

Within the MOBISTAR project, the prerequisites are created to significantly increase the mobilisation rate of critically ill intensive care patients and possibly to increase their clinical rehabilitation outcomes. These will be reached through the adaptation of medical and nursing processes combined with the use of a robotic system. For this purpose, clinical process analyses, surveys of all professional groups involved and adjustments of the clinical processes will be done to enable the integration of the robotic system into the clinical treatment procedures. The robotic system defined that way will be piloted on intensive care units of a maximum care hospital and its mode of action will be researched.
