Medicine Study Buddy Program

Make new friends, get to know this beautiful region

Are you keen on international learning, on making new contacts and getting to know international fellow students? Then you are just the right person for this program! We bring medical students together world-wide!

The aim of the program is to make it easier for the students to find their feet in our Faculty. To help with this, we provide every international participant with a student from LMU as a personal mentor for everything to do with the wide range of topics concerning the Faculty, the health system and medical studies in Germany, and the clinical part of their studies at LMU as part of the Medical Curriculum Munich (MeCuM).

The teams take the program together, meet up regularly to prepare the contents of the course and follow up on them, provide assistance in finding one’s way around the campus, help with language problems, offer tips on preparing for examinations, etc.

The program is organized by the LMU Medical Students Board (Arbeitskreis EMSA | MeCuMplus) and is open to interested students in full-time courses at LMU and its partner universities.

If you wish to have a buddy you should tick the box "Please assign me a mentor, if possible" in your LMU online application. Your e-mail address will then be forwarded to your buddy so that they can get in touch with you about one or two months prior to arrival.
