International Rankings
The Faculty of Medicine of LMU Munich regularly holds top positions in international research rankings. In 2021, the LMU is the German leader in the Nature Index Ranking of scientific institutions. In the Times Higher Education Ranking 2022/2023, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (rank 46) occupied an excellent position in an international comparison. In a Germany-wide comparison, the Faculty of Medicine is awarded a top research reputation in the CHE ranking, which re-evaluates the various subjects every three years, both in 2015 and 2018.
